TOP ™ is the exclusive wind technician career program, built in partnership between the world’s leading wind turbine manufacturer, Vestas Americas, and premiere international service provider, Sky Climber Renewables.
This revolutionary wind technician career program creates jobs in local communities throughout the nation, offering local positions, best-in-class safety and technical training, and one-of-a-kind career development opportunities for aspiring wind technicians.
TOP ™ technicians complete three (3) weeks of intense safety and technical training at the Vestas Technical Training Center, a state-of-the-art wind technical training facility in Portland, Oregon. After graduating basic training, TOP ™ technicians begin a 9-12 month project assignment at a specific Vestas wind project, usually within close proximity to a candidates residence.
During project assignments, TOP ™ technicians complete a comprehensive task based certification (TBC) program that is designed to develop the technical knowledge and critical skills required for a successful career as a wind turbine service technician.
